Brand design and illustration
A collection of design work I created while working for a Dutch tech company. Ranging from illustrations to presentations.
I started at Wakoopa as a graphic design intern. Wakoopa is a technology company that provides a passive metering solution for market research. When I joined I was given their logo, their color scheme (which of course includes the famous Dutch orange), their chosen font, and their website as a reference. Apart from that, everything was open to change.
I started with a layout design for a case study flyer. I was missing an illustration style that I could use for multiple purposes. Therefore, we developed the concept of device people. At Wakoopa, it's all about people and what are they doing online. Nowadays, devices are so integrated into our lives that sometimes it is hard to draw a line between a person and their device. Visually we literally combined the device and person. The inside of the device was used to add an additional story on what these people are doing online.
In my time at Wakoopa we held many different presentations, and I always tried to keep them clean and clear. That included illustrations and data visualizations. I always enjoy adding a bit of wittiness to the presentations with illustrations.
To support the Wakoopa business we created many case studies, which were then presented as flyers, presentations, and blog posts. I always tried to keep the same layout with the necessary adaptations. Creating case studies included understanding the data and choosing and creating the best visualization to showcase the strength of the data.
As usual in market research, there were many path to purchase studies and I tried to present it in a bit more interesting way.
Wakoopa was also very active at attending different conferences and presenting their work at exhibitions. We had many different ones, but this one was, in my opinion, the most interesting one. It is presenting the flow of data from our "device" world to capturing it and then how it reflects in Wakoopa behavioral data.
*Unfortunately, there is no decent photo of the actual booth, so I had to use a mockup.
